Streetwise ("Streetwise," "we," "us") runs streetwiseparts.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what choices you have.

1. Information we collect

What you give us. When you place an order, create an account, sign up for email, fill out a contact form, or contact us, we collect your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping addresses, order details, and anything you put in a message or order note (for example, a fire system bottle's make, model and serial number). We do not see or store your full card number. Payments are handled by Shopify and the payment provider you choose at checkout.

What we collect automatically. When you visit the site we receive your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the page that referred you, and your approximate location. Cookies and similar technologies collect this (see Section 4).

From others. Shopify, payment providers and shipping carriers send us order, payment and delivery information.

2. How we use it

  • To process and ship orders, handle returns, and service your fire systems and shocks.
  • To answer your questions and give support.
  • To send order and service updates.
  • To send marketing email, if you signed up. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To understand how the site is used and improve it.
  • To measure how our email marketing performs.
  • To prevent fraud and spam, keep records, and meet legal and tax obligations.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it with:

  • Service providers that run the store: Shopify (hosting, checkout, accounts, Shop Pay), payment processors (Shopify Payments, PayPal), shipping carriers and shipping software (such as USPS and UPS), Shopify Email for marketing email, hCaptcha for spam protection on forms, and the apps that run parts of the site, such as our image gallery and product-warnings apps.
  • Analytics partner: Google (Google Analytics). Google uses cookies to measure visits to the site. Under some state privacy laws this can count as a "sale," "sharing" or "targeted advertising." You can opt out. See Section 5.
  • Authorities and others when required: to comply with law, respond to legal process, or protect our rights, customers and the public.
  • A buyer of our business, if Streetwise is sold or merged. Your information may transfer to the new owner.

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files your browser stores. We and our partners use them for:

  • Store functions: keeping your cart, currency and language, and keeping you signed in (Shopify cookies such as cart, cart_currency and localization).
  • Analytics: Google Analytics (_ga and related cookies) and Shopify's own analytics.
  • Social channels: Sales-channel apps connected to our store may also set Meta and Pinterest cookies; we do not currently advertise on either.
  • Location-based warnings: our product-warnings app uses your approximate location, taken from your IP address, to show state-specific product warnings (els_geo).
  • Security: hCaptcha on forms.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The store may not work properly if you block all of them. To opt out of Google Analytics, use Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

5. Your choices

  • Data sharing and cookies: use our Your Privacy Choices page, streetwiseparts.com/pages/data-sharing-opt-out. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out request for that browser and device.
  • Do Not Track: websites have no common standard for Do Not Track signals, and we do not respond to them. We do honor Global Privacy Control, as described above.
  • Email: click Unsubscribe at the bottom of any marketing email, or write to sales@streetwiseparts.com.
  • Access, correction or deletion: see Section 6.

6. California privacy rights

If you live in California, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we collect, use, disclose and share, and give you a copy;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • delete your information, subject to exceptions (for example, records we must keep for tax, warranty and legal reasons);
  • stop sharing your information with analytics partners (use the opt-out in Section 5).

We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes beyond running your order. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

How to ask: email sales@streetwiseparts.com with "Privacy Request" in the subject, or write to the address above. We will verify your identity by matching details to your order or account, and we will respond within 45 days. An authorized agent can make a request for you with your written permission.

Streetwise is a small business and may fall below the size thresholds of California's privacy law. We will still respond to reasonable requests from California residents, and from residents of other states, using the same contact details.

7. How long we keep information

We keep order, payment and service records for seven years for tax, accounting and warranty purposes. Account details stay until you ask us to delete them, unless we need them for an open order or legal reason. Marketing email addresses stay until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept according to Google's retention settings.

8. Security

Shopify and its payment providers handle your card data under PCI-DSS standards, and we do not store full card numbers. We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, but no website or system is completely secure.

9. Children

The site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you think we have, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Visitors outside the United States

Streetwise is in the United States, and we sell and ship only within the United States. We make exceptions only by direct email arrangement. If you buy from us that way, your information is processed in the United States. You can use the contact details above to ask about your information.

11. Links to other sites

The site links to Instagram, Amazon, YouTube and other sites. Their privacy practices are their own. Read their policies.

12. Changes

We will post changes here and update the date at the top. If a change is material, we will say so on the site.
